2023 NYE Toast Party 🍞

2023 NYE Toast Party 🍞

I hosted a toast party for New Years this year, and it was so. much. fun. Everyone brought their favorite toast topping, and I provided the bread, champagne, treats, and decor. We got a little toasted and made a toast while we enjoyed some toast. It was the perfect way to toast to the new year (all the puns fully intended).

Toast toppings included: whipped goat cheese and honey + blackberries, pesto artichoke dip, caramelized apples + apple butter, and a tomato crostini with whipped feta. We also had champagne and date balls (recipe to come in the future).

Step one: Build a mood board on Pinterest. This is one of my favorite parts of the creative process when it comes to dinner parties. Find inspiration, see what creative ideas come to mind, and have fun! This dinner party naturally leaned towards a disco ball theme as it was New Years, but it can be whatever you’d like!

Step two: Choose your guest list and send out invites. Be mindful of how many folks you can host, and who you’d like to be in attendance. I had all of my friends RSVP what they were bringing to ensure we had a balance of sweet and savory toppings.

Step four: Set a budget and begin purchasing supplies. I’ve been hosting dinners for some time now so I have most of the essential supplies already. This allows me to spend most of my budget for extra decor items, food, and drinks. Once I get an Amazon storefront set up, I’ll share links to all of my favorite items.

Step five: Tablescaping. I highly recommend getting your bread from a local bakery - they just might offer to make you a larger than life baguette like this one. Once you have that in hand, you can begin arranging your table. Think of the it like a charcuterie board. Start with the bread and build as you go. Add some greens, candles, disco balls, and finish off with some star confetti.

Step six: Enjoy!
